Former Cathay Pacific ground staff member sentenced for accepting bribes

Hong Kong’s ICAC said former Cathay Pacific customer services officer Tsui Ying-kit was charged in 2025 over four counts of conspiracy for an agent to accept advantages, relating to conduct between September 2008 and August 2009. The ICAC had alleged his involvement in a bribery scheme linked to a human-smuggling syndicate.

Tsui pleaded guilty at Hong Kong’s District Court and was sentenced to 20 months’ imprisonment. The court also ordered restitution of HK$18,000 to Cathay Pacific, equivalent to the bribe amount cited by the ICAC.
