RBS relationship manager sentenced to 21 months for client payment scheme

Stuart Holloway, a former Royal Bank of Scotland relationship manager, was sentenced to 21 months’ imprisonment after admitting two charges under Bribery Act legislation. The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said he stole £274,811 from business clients between 2012 and 2016 by requesting personal payments in return for removing liabilities and providing preferential treatment.

According to evidence presented in court, payments were made to accounts held by Holloway, relatives and a friend. The case reached sentencing following his admissions; it was not a settlement or civil finding.
