Brazilian Federal Police investigate alleged bribe attempt to release drug shipment

Brazil’s Federal Police said it launched Operation Bribe Dispatch on 20 August 2026, executing preventive-arrest and search warrants against a person investigated for alleged involvement in an international drug-trafficking organisation. The investigation followed the seizure of 156 kg of cannabis at Guarulhos Airport in April 2026.
