Former New York City Official Charged With Alleged Bribery, Kickbacks and Fraud

The US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said an indictment charges Anthony Herbert, a former New York City Mayor’s Office official, with bribery, kickback and fraud offenses. The DOJ alleges he accepted $16,000 in payments in exchange for influencing city contracts and directing publicly funded assistance to businesses, and filed false financial disclosures.
