Timothy Doyle, a former operations manager, pleaded guilty in January 2025 to conspiring to violate the Anti-Kickback Statute. A federal court sentenced him to 14 months in prison, one year of supervised release, $27.2 million in restitution and $1.1 million in forfeiture.
The DOJ alleges that, from 2013 to 2020, Doyle and others paid doctors in cash or by check based on orders for medically unnecessary brain scans. According to the DOJ, purported rental and administrative agreements concealed the per-test payments, contributing to approximately $70.6 million in fraudulent Medicare billings.
