Summary
Hong Kong’s ICAC said it charged five people on 23 March 2026 in three cases involving renovation projects worth about HK$90 million. The defendants face eight charges, including seven of allegedly offering an advantage to an agent under section 9(2)(a) of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance.
The defendants include three alleged middlemen. The cases were listed for mention at the Eastern Magistrates’ Courts on 25 March; the charges are allegations and do not establish guilt. The ICAC also referred to an earlier joint operation concerning alleged bribery and bid-rigging in building-maintenance tenders.
