Hong Kong ICAC arrests eight in Wang Fuk Court renovation investigation

Hong Kong’s ICAC said it arrested eight people in an investigation into possible corruption linked to the Wang Fuk Court grand renovation project. Those arrested include four individuals from the consulting firm, three scaffolding subcontractors and a project middleman; the ICAC did not announce charges or findings of wrongdoing.

The ICAC executed search warrants at 13 premises and seized works documents and bank records. The investigation remains ongoing, and all eight were being detained for further enquiries, according to the agency.
