The US Department of Justice said it is returning $2,507,911.73 to The Gambia for compensation of eligible victims of the Jammeh regime. The funds came from the forfeiture and liquidation of a Maryland property linked to former President Yahya Jammeh and his wife, Zineb Jammeh.
