Agricultural Company to Pay Over $10M to Resolve Foreign Bribery Case

The DOJ said The Scoular Company entered a three-year DPA over an FCPA conspiracy involving customs brokers who paid Mexican officials to move agricultural shipments across the border. Scoular agreed to a US$9.77 million criminal penalty and US$414,351 in forfeiture. The department said more than US$400,000 in bribes were invoiced back to the company as reinspection fees.
